Dragon Cake

Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

We take everything you need for the sponge cake and divide the ingredients into two equal parts. You need to bake two round biscuits.
STEP 2

Mix the dough. Beat the butter with simple and vanilla sugar until the sugar is completely dissolved. Then add the eggs one at a time. Then add flour with baking powder and pour in milk. Add all the ingredients without stopping whisking. Continue beating until fluffy and homogeneous, about 5-10 minutes.
STEP 3

Add crushed chocolate and mix the dough with chocolate well with a spatula.
STEP 4

Transfer the dough to a parchment-lined pan.
STEP 5

Bake the biscuit until ready in an oven preheated to 170 degrees. Preparing the second sponge cake. Ready-made biscuits must be cooled to room temperature.
STEP 6

Meanwhile, whip the cream. Melt caramel candies, preferably like toffees or cows, in a small amount of water; you can mix them with condensed milk in the microwave and gradually add them to the churned butter. When the cream is churned, add cognac and beat for another two minutes.
STEP 7

Cut one biscuit according to the template.
STEP 8

We divide the second by diameter into two parts.
STEP 9

Coat the halves with cream.
STEP 10

Assembling the dragon's body.
STEP 11

We take those parts for the head and neck. And cut off a little from the tail, as in the photo, maybe even less.
STEP 12

We lay out the neck and head, raising it slightly with a triangle cut from the tail.
STEP 13

Install the front legs.
STEP 14

We assemble the hind legs and install them in place.
STEP 15

We install the tail in two parts. The corners of the neck and head must be cut before assembly.
STEP 16

We collect the entire dragon using cream and coat it on all sides with cream. Let it soak and the cream harden a little in a cool place.
STEP 17

Meanwhile, on parchment paper we make dragon crest elements from melted chocolate. We draw with snake-like movements, layer by layer, figures as in the photo. Let the chocolate harden in the refrigerator.
STEP 18

Then apply melted chocolate on the flat side of half of the comb horn and let it harden in the refrigerator. Meanwhile, for decoration, mix two colors of cream.
STEP 19

Using the grass nozzle, apply the cream to the dragon's scales.
STEP 20

At the bottom there is one color, at the top another. We make eyes from marshmallow and chocolate. We make nostrils out of chocolate.
STEP 21

We install all decorative elements in their places. After which the cake is ready. We delight our storytellers and fairy-tale characters with this fantastic cake!
