STEP 1
How to make dough for dumplings with cherries? Prepare all products. Break the egg into a bowl and beat it with a pinch of salt with a whisk or fork.
STEP 2
Sift most of the flour into the bowl with the egg. We will mix in the other part gradually, monitoring the consistency of the dough. For now, put it aside.
STEP 3
Knead the dough, but don't try too hard because this is not the final version. Just make sure that the mass turns out viscous, lumpy - so that the flour gets wet.
STEP 4
Boil a glass of water and pour boiling water into the dough. Stir.
STEP 5
Now add the remaining flour in parts and knead the dough to the thickness and consistency you need. But you need the dough not to stick to your hands, not to be too tough, and to hold its shape well. And it may take you either more or less flour than it does for me.
STEP 6
When it becomes difficult to knead with a spoon, transfer the dough to the table and knead it with your hands. The choux pastry is non-sticky, soft and elastic.
STEP 7
Remove the pits from the cherries. Add sugar to the cherries. If you have canned cherries, drain all the liquid from them.
STEP 8
Mix cherries with sugar. This will be the filling.
STEP 9
To form the dumplings, roll some of the dough into a sausage and cut it into pieces.
STEP 10
Roll each piece into a ball.
STEP 11
Roll each ball into a flat cake with a rolling pin, place the filling in its center and pinch the edges. Form a dumpling.
STEP 12
You can spend more time and make the dumplings a figured Poltava rope edge.
STEP 13
Make all the dumplings this way. To prevent them from sticking to each other and sticking to the surface, place them on a flour board at a distance from each other.
STEP 14
Raw dumplings can be steamed or boiled in boiling salted water. If steaming, grease the steamer rack with oil and place the dumplings. Cook for 10-15 minutes. If you are cooking, boil water with salt, put the dumplings in it and cook for about 7 minutes.
STEP 15
Transfer the finished dumplings with cherries to plates.
STEP 16
Serve them with sour cream and a good mood!
