DIY sweets made from dried fruits and nuts
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to make homemade sweets from dried fruits and nuts with your own hands? Prepare the ingredients according to the list. At will and taste preferences, the set of products used can be changed. I used walnuts and pine nuts, dried apricots, prunes and dates. If you don’t want to use honey for some reason, you can do without it; it turns out quite sweet thanks to the dried fruits.
STEP 2
Wash and dry the nuts. You should not fry them, otherwise most of the beneficial substances in the nuts will disappear. You can also use any nuts: walnuts, almonds, peanuts, you can add a handful of sunflower seeds.
STEP 3
Wash dried fruits thoroughly; if they have seeds, remove them. Pour boiling water over the dried fruits and leave for 15 minutes until they swell well. After the specified time, drain the water and dry the dried fruits. You can also take raisins and figs, they are sweeter, then you don’t need to add honey.
STEP 4
Place the prepared nuts and dried fruits in a blender bowl and grind them into a homogeneous mass. In order for the nuts and dried fruits to be crushed better, you need to pour a little cold boiled water into the blender bowl and swirl them a few more times. Instead of a blender, you can grind them through a meat grinder.
STEP 5
Combine the mass of nuts and dried fruits with honey and mix thoroughly to obtain a homogeneous, thick and sticky mass.
STEP 6
Pour sesame seeds, poppy seeds, cocoa or other products for sprinkling into different cups. You can cover the candies with melted chocolate.
STEP 7
Use a teaspoon to take a little mixture of nuts and dried fruits, and with clean hands moistened in cold water, roll a small ball. Form the remaining balls in the same way. Roll some of the balls in sesame seeds.
STEP 8
Roll some of the preparations in poppy seeds.
STEP 9
Roll the remaining balls in cocoa.
STEP 10
Place the candies on a plate and refrigerate for a couple of hours to cool and harden. The sweets are ready. Bon appetit!
