I prepared a delicious barley for my husband as a side dish. More precisely, for him it was the main dish, because he observes fasting. Barley with vegetables is a completely self-sufficient dish, satisfying and very tasty. I increased the number of servings, this is easy to do using a special calculator. I cooked the pearl barley as recommended in a large amount of water, then rinsed it in a colander and let the water drain completely. The cereal turned out very crumbly! I made a vegetable fry from onions, carrots, which I cut with a curly knife, and sweet peppers. I didn't have any tomatoes, so I added tomato paste instead. Immediately added a little curry and a mixture of ground peppers to the vegetables. It turned out to be a very tasty second course, filling and juicy. I have never had a crumbly and tasty pearl barley porridge. I had to buy packaged pearl barley and more or less it worked out. But I couldn’t find the porridge in bags in stores. I had to buy just packaged. But I thought that my favorite cooking site would help me out. And exactly this recipe turned out to be an awesome, delicious, crumbly pearl barley porridge.
