Curly pie with jam
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to make curly jam pie? Prepare your food. Both margarine and butter are suitable for the dough, choose according to your taste. Choose quality products that comply with GOST. Take thick, seedless jam; the liquid will saturate the bottom cake and prevent it from baking.
STEP 2
Margarine (or, like mine, butter) Microwave for 10 seconds. The goal is not to melt it, but to soften it. If this does not happen in 10 seconds, then set it to another 10. Place soft margarine in a bowl and add sugar to it. Mix the ingredients using a spatula. There is no need for a mixer; soft margarine mixes well just like that.
STEP 3
Add eggs to the mixture one at a time. Be sure to wash your eggs before using them, as even seemingly clean shells can harbor harmful bacteria. It is best to use food grade detergents and a brush. After each egg, mix the mixture well.
STEP 4
Sift the flour into a bowl along with the baking powder. It is important to sift the flour to saturate it with oxygen. Then the baked goods will turn out airy and rise well during baking. Knead the dough, first with a spoon, then with your hands.
STEP 5
The dough will come together very quickly into a ball; you don’t need to knead it for a long time, otherwise the baked goods will turn out tough. Once this happens, divide the dough into two parts - 1/3 and 2/3. Wrap them individually in bags or film and put them away: most of them in the refrigerator, the smaller part in the freezer for half an hour.
STEP 6
After some time has passed, roll out the part from the refrigerator on a table sprinkled with flour into a round layer 5-7 mm thick. Place it in a mold and make sides. I took a round shape d 26cm. You can also use regular baking sheets, then roll out the dough into a rectangle.
STEP 7
Spread the dough with jam. I took raspberry jam.
STEP 8
Grate the smaller part on a coarse grater. This is why it was frozen; cold dough is easier to grate.
STEP 9
Place the resulting shavings evenly on the top of the pie.
STEP 10
Bake the pie in the oven, preheated to 180°C, for about 20 minutes, until golden brown. The exact time will depend on your oven and the size of the cake.
STEP 11
Remove the finished pie from the oven and cool. Serve it to the table, cutting it into small pieces, as the pie turns out soft and crumbly. Bon appetit!
