  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make cucumbers for the winter in tomato paste? Prepare all ingredients. To prepare cucumbers for the winter in tomato paste, you can use factory-made tomato paste or homemade tomato paste. The second option is better in that you can take into account the taste and quantity of ingredients contained in the tomato paste, and supplement it with what is missing for pickling cucumbers. You can use regular tomato paste or sweet and sour tomato sauce.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

The main role in this preparation, of course, is played by cucumbers. Therefore, they need to be well prepared for marinating. Rinse them thoroughly with water, cut both ends and soak in cold water for three hours. During this time, ideally change the water several times so that it is always cold. Then the cucumbers will be crispy. It is better to take small fruits, they are more tender and tasty. Wash and dry the greens.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Place tomato paste in a thick-bottomed pan, add water, vinegar, vegetable oil, bay leaf and pepper, add sugar and salt, stir. Bring the mixture to a boil and simmer over medium heat for about 10 minutes. Meanwhile, thoroughly rinse the dill and parsley and dry them. Peel the onions and garlic. Cut the onion into rings, garlic cloves into small slices.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Wash the jars with baking soda and place them, still wet, upside down on the oven rack. Preheat the oven to 150°C, sterilize 0.5 l jars - 10 min, 1 l - 15 min. Wash the lids, boil and dry. Place a sprig of dill and parsley on the bottom of each jar. Place a few pieces of garlic and onion rings on top.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

After the time allotted for soaking the cucumbers has passed, rinse them well again, dry them on a paper towel and place them in jars, compacting them tightly but without damaging the fruits.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Place the remaining onion rings and pieces of garlic, a few sprigs of parsley and dill on top again. Pour the hot tomato marinade over the cucumbers in the jars so that it completely covers the cucumbers. Cover the jars with lids and sterilize. Place a cloth on the bottom of a large saucepan, pour water and place the jars. Bring the water in the pan to a boil and sterilize the jars for 15 minutes (if the volume of the jars is 0.5 l).

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Take out the cans and roll them up immediately. Turn upside down, cover with a blanket and let cool at room temperature. Store pickled cucumbers in tomato paste in a cool place.
