STEP 1
Prepare all the necessary ingredients to make American Chocolate Chip Cookies. For chocolate chips, you need to take dark or bitter chocolate and chop it with a knife. We take out the butter in advance, as it should become soft. Turn on the oven to preheat to 180 degrees.
STEP 2
Place soft butter in a deep bowl and add sugar. It is better, of course, to use brown sugar, it will give a more caramel taste. But even with regular white sugar, these cookies turn out just as good.
STEP 3
Beat the butter and sugar into a homogeneous fluffy mass.
STEP 4
Break both eggs and add them to the bowl with the whipped butter. In general, get into the habit of breaking each egg one at a time into a separate bowl, separate from each other. This will help you avoid spoiling everything if you suddenly come across a spoiled egg. Beat everything again until smooth.
STEP 5
Sift the flour through a fine sieve and add to the bowl with the beaten butter and eggs. Add salt, baking powder and vanilla and quickly mix into a soft, sticky dough. It is better to do this with a mixer or spoon so that the dough does not melt from the warmth of your hands. And don’t knead this dough for a long time, it doesn’t like it.
STEP 6
Add the chocolate chips to the batter and mix again.
STEP 7
Line a baking tray with baking paper or a silicone mat. Spread the dough with a teaspoon at a distance of about 2 centimeters, as it spreads very much.
STEP 8
Place the baking sheet with cookies in the hot oven and bake for 15 minutes. Do not overcook, otherwise the cookies will turn out very dry, but still very tasty. Remove the baking sheet and cool the cookies.
STEP 9
Our American chocolate chip cookies are ready. Serve with milk, tea or coffee.
