Corn flour pie with kefir
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to bake a cornmeal pie with kefir in the oven? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. All products should be at room temperature. Turn on the oven to 180 degrees in advance. Pour sifted wheat and corn flour into a deep bowl, add baking powder, a pinch of salt and vanillin. Stir the dry mixture. Vanillin can be replaced with vanilla sugar. Read how to do this correctly in a separate article at the link after the recipe.
STEP 2
Beat the eggs into another bowl, add sugar, the amount can be reduced or increased to taste.
STEP 3
Beat the eggs with sugar with a whisk or mixer until the sugar is completely dissolved, foam forms on the surface and the mixture thickens slightly. Pour the egg mixture into the bowl with the dry ingredients and stir until smooth.
STEP 4
Pour in vegetable oil and kefir and mix everything again. The dough should have the consistency of thick sour cream. Leave the bowl with the dough at room temperature for 10 minutes. While the dough is standing, you can optionally prepare the pie filling: dried fruits, candied fruits, pieces of fruit, nuts or berries. You don’t have to add anything, but grease the finished pie with cream or cover it with glaze, decorate with powdered sugar and berries.
STEP 5
Line a baking pan with parchment or grease it with butter. You can choose the right parchment paper by reading a separate article about the features of parchment, the link is at the end of the recipe. Mix the dough again and pour into the mold. Bake the pie for about 40 minutes. The exact time depends on the size of the pan and your oven. You can learn about the operating features of ovens by reading a separate article, link at the end of the recipe.
STEP 6
The pie should brown and have a golden crust on top. You can check readiness with a toothpick - insert it into the middle of the pie and immediately remove it. If it is dry, then the cake is ready.
STEP 7
Remove the pie from the mold, let it cool slightly and serve with tea, coffee or milk, sprinkled with powdered sugar or sweet berry syrup on top. Enjoy your tea!
