Cookie rolls with sour cream, honey and nuts

A delicious and proven recipe for delicious baked goods! The honey walnut filling is one of my favorites. I also remember how, as a child, my mother prepared such cookies, and I helped her. Therefore, I want to share the recipe with you.

Step-by-step preparation

  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

To prepare the dough, combine sour cream with sugar. Stir until the sugar dissolves.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Stir in one egg, baking soda and vanilla.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Stir melted butter and sifted flour into the dough. Knead the dough so that it does not stick to your hands. Add a little more flour if necessary.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

For the filling, take walnuts and chop them in a way convenient for you. You can chop it with a chopper, or you can, like I did, with a sharp knife.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Add a little liquid honey to the chopped nuts.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Mix everything well. There is no need to add extra honey. It is only enough for all the nuts to come together due to the stickiness of the honey. Otherwise, it will leak out during baking.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

From the finished dough you can form cookies of various shapes. You can roll them out into a layer, lay out the filling, roll them into a roll and cut them into cookies. You can cut out circles or squares, put a little filling in the center, pinch the edges on top. Or you can roll it into a circle like I did, cut into segments and put a little filling on each of them.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Then roll into rolls and place on a baking tray. Place the cookies in the oven preheated to 180 degrees for 20 minutes.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Cool the finished cookies and help yourself. Enjoy your tea!

I made these cookies over the weekend and added more raisins to the filling. It turned out very tasty!!! The only thing is, next time I will roll out the dough a little thinner. Bagels made from thinner dough, in my opinion, turned out tastier Yulia, thanks for the recipe, I’ll leave it in KK and will make it again, I’ll try it with other fillings
