I don’t want to offend the author of the recipe, but I’m perplexed by the result. This is some kind of garbage: a mountain of chopped apples (after all, 2.5 kg is not a handful of raisins) slightly smeared with what is called dough in the recipe. In any case, what is shown in your, author’s, photograph is not something that didn’t work out, but doesn’t even remotely resemble it. Maybe you made a mistake in the grams and kilograms indicated for the ingredients? In general, for me it’s just a wasteful translation of products. And one more thing: Are you sure that you need to bake at 120 degrees?

Isabella needs to be baked at 160-170 degrees and the dough should be above the apples, in general, I revised the recipe, look, the cake is really tasty, it comes out with enough apples 0.5 kg

NashaDasha, Ilga, thank you for the delicious food! An unusual combination of caramelized filling with crispy crumbs. I made the filling with apples and nectarines. You can probably add some nuts to the crumbs. And I'll try to adjust the amount of sugar.
