Chocolate fondue
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to make chocolate fondue at home? Prepare the food. To prepare fondue, use only high-quality chocolate, without additives, as this is the basis of the taste. You can take all varieties - milky, bitter, white. Dark chocolate is almost not sweet, it is not for everyone. For children it is better to take dairy. You can use any cream, the fattier it is, the more tender the dish, but the calorie content also increases significantly.
STEP 2
Absolutely any fruit is suitable, we prefer sour ones - kiwi, oranges, tangerines, nectarines, it gives a balanced taste. The grapes are very good, just take seedless varieties. When strawberries are in season, make fondue with them—they're a favorite among chocolate-covered berries. Cherries and sweet cherries are also good. Wash the fruits thoroughly, dry and cut into small pieces. You can sprinkle them with lemon juice at this stage to prevent them from darkening.
STEP 3
Pour the cream into a suitable container, put it on low heat, wait for the first bubbles and turn it off.
STEP 4
Break the chocolate and place it in the heated cream. You can add a drop of salt to taste. Salt in desserts is a flavor enhancer.
STEP 5
Mix well until the chocolate is completely dissolved.
STEP 6
Assemble the fondue pot. Usually a candle is lit from below, a container with water above it, and a container for chocolate above it. Its principle is that due to constant heating with steam, the chocolate does not have time to harden.
STEP 7
Pour the melted chocolate into the top bowl.
STEP 8
You can serve fondue on the table. As the chocolate runs out, add it from the ladle. Bon appetit!
