Chicken with oranges in the oven

STEP 1
How to bake chicken with oranges in the oven? Prepare the necessary products. Wings or drumsticks are also perfect for this recipe, but I wouldn’t recommend using the breast. The chicken must be pre-washed and dried with paper towels.
STEP 2
Squeeze the juice from one orange. This can be done using any available means, not necessarily a juicer.
STEP 3
Peel the garlic and chop it in any convenient way: finely chop it with a knife. You can chop it, grate it, put it through a press.
STEP 4
Peel the ginger root and chop it too. It is better to grate it, so it will release its juice better. If you are not a fan of Asian notes, then do not add ginger, limit yourself to spices. Or, on the contrary, you can add even brighter ones, such as curry.
STEP 5
Now make the marinade. To do this, mix juice, soy sauce, black and red pepper and grated ginger and garlic.
STEP 6
Stir the marinade with a fork until all ingredients are well combined.
STEP 7
Place the chicken in a container that can be covered, pour in the marinade and refrigerate for at least three hours, but preferably 8-12 hours. About half an hour before the end of marinating, turn on the oven at 180 degrees.
STEP 8
Cut the second orange into small pieces.
STEP 9
After the marinating time is over, place the chicken in a baking dish, pour the marinade over it, and place the orange slices on top. You can also add onions, cut into large pieces. Read about how to choose a baking dish in a separate article at the link at the end of the recipe.
STEP 10
Bake the chicken in an oven preheated to 180°C for 45-50 minutes until golden brown. The exact time depends on your oven. You can bake the whole chicken, in which case you should marinate it differently. Cut the orange into slices and place them directly under the skin. Rub the skin with garlic and pepper and marinate like this for 8 hours. Bon appetit!
