    Cut the chicken liver into small pieces, removing the membranes. Place the chopped liver in the pan with the onions. Fry everything together for 2-3 minutes until the liver changes color.

    Rinse the champignons well to remove dirt. Cut the champignons into pieces. You can cut them into slices or simply cut each mushroom into 2-4 parts.

    Place the chopped mushrooms in the pan next to the liver and mix everything. Cover the pan with a lid and cook over low heat for 12-15 minutes. Stir occasionally to ensure nothing burns.

    The finished liver in the crack should be uniformly gray in color, without a pink tint. At the end of cooking, add sour cream and garlic, passed through a press, into the pan. Add salt and spices to taste. You can add ground pepper as a spice. Warm everything well with sour cream.

I made liver according to the recipe with fresh champignons and chopped frozen ones. I really liked both options.
