STEP 1
How to make chicken legs in puff pastry? Prepare your food. If you are using frozen meat rather than chilled, remove it from the freezer in advance and place it in the refrigerator overnight. In this way it will defrost most delicately and correctly. But defrost the puff pastry 30-45 minutes before preparing the dish. You can use both yeast and non-yeast dough. Peel the garlic cloves.
STEP 2
Rinse the chicken drumsticks thoroughly with cool water and then pat dry with paper towels. Place them in a bowl and sprinkle with salt and black pepper. You can also add any favorite herbs and spices. Grind the garlic on a grater or through a press, rub the legs with it.
STEP 3
Cut hard cheese into thin slices. Carefully remove the skin from the meat fillet and insert a piece of cheese into the pocket. Choose natural and high-quality cheese, without vegetable fats.
STEP 4
Dust the puff pastry with flour and roll out into a layer 0.5 cm thick. Using a sharp knife, cut the layer into strips 1-2 cm wide. It is very convenient to use a pizza cutter.
STEP 5
Wrap each leg in dough. Start wrapping the meat in the dough from the narrow side.
STEP 6
Line a deep baking sheet with parchment paper. Place the legs at a distance from each other.
STEP 7
To make the legs rosy, brush them with yolk. You can make an omelet from the remaining protein.
STEP 8
Bake the chicken legs in the dough in the oven at 180 degrees for about 1 hour, the dough should be well browned. Serve hot; you can add potatoes as a side dish. Bon appetit!
