Chicken in pumpkin baked in the oven

STEP 1
How to bake chicken in pumpkin in the oven? Prepare your food. Wash a small pumpkin thoroughly and cut off the top and tail. You need to cut about two centimeters of pulp, no more.
STEP 2
Using a small sharp knife, cut off some of the flesh, widening the hole, and using a tablespoon, remove the pumpkin seeds and any innards. They won't be needed.
STEP 3
If you wish, for beauty, you can carefully cut the pumpkin flesh along the edge in the form of triangles. This is convenient to do with a sharp small knife.
STEP 4
Wash the chicken breast and pat dry with paper towels. Cut into medium sized cubes.
STEP 5
Heat a frying pan over high heat. Pour in one tablespoon of sunflower oil and heat it. Don't turn down the fire. Quickly fry the chicken on all sides until the meat turns white. This will take about five minutes. There is no need to cook the chicken until done. This fast frying creates a crust on the meat, sealing the juices inside.
STEP 6
Salt and pepper the chicken to taste. At this point you can add your favorite seasonings.
STEP 7
Place the pumpkin in a baking dish pre-greased with a drop of sunflower oil. Place the chicken inside the pumpkin.
STEP 8
Pour cream into pumpkin. They can be either cold or at room temperature. No difference. Choose a fat content of cream of 10-20%, it is just good for sauces.
STEP 9
Cover the pumpkin with a lid. Using a pastry brush, brush the entire outer surface of the vegetable with the remaining tablespoon of sunflower oil, not forgetting the lid itself. Bake the pumpkin and chicken in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for an hour. Serve the whole squash on a large platter. Bon appetit!
