Baked pumpkin with Italian cheese

STEP 1
How to bake pumpkin with cheese in Italian? Prepare the necessary ingredients. Mozzarella can be used both in brine and the one intended for pizza. I took the first option.
STEP 2
Peel the pre-washed pumpkin and cut into slices no more than 0.5 cm thick.
STEP 3
Place a little flour on a plate with small sides and bread each pumpkin slice on both sides. Add flour as needed.
STEP 4
Place the floured pumpkin slices on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Drizzle each slice with olive oil and add a little salt. Please note that Parmesan has a certain degree of saltiness.
STEP 5
Bake the vegetable slices in an oven preheated to 180C for 10 minutes. I didn’t have all the slices on one baking sheet, so I baked them on two.

Grate Parmesan on the finest grater.
STEP 7
Remove the mozzarella from the brine and let the liquid drain. Cut the mozzarella into slices and dry thoroughly.
STEP 8
Pour 1 tsp into the bottom of the baking dish. olive oil.
STEP 9
Place a layer of pumpkin slices overlapping slightly.
STEP 10
Place mozzarella slices on top.
STEP 11
Sprinkle evenly with grated Parmesan.
STEP 12
Place the pumpkin slices again.
STEP 13
And also cheese layers.
STEP 14
Finish the casserole with a layer of pumpkin. Sprinkle the top evenly with grated Parmesan.
STEP 15
Cover the pan with foil and place in an oven preheated to 180C. Bake the pumpkin and cheese for 20 minutes. Then remove the foil from the pan, switch the oven to grill mode and increase the temperature to 200C. Bake the dish until golden brown, 5-7 minutes.
STEP 16
Let the finished casserole stand in the pan for 5-10 minutes and serve. Bon appetit!
