STEP 1
How to bake chicken in cream sauce in the oven? Prepare your food. Any part of the chicken is suitable for baking in the oven. I'll cook chicken thighs. But you can use drumsticks, breast or chicken fillet. Or cut a whole chicken into pieces and bake it. Cream can be of any fat content, mine is 22%.
STEP 2
Wash the chicken and dry well with paper towels. Then it will be fried and not stewed. Heat the frying pan until hot and pour a little vegetable oil on it. Place chicken thighs in a hot frying pan and fry them over high heat until golden brown, a couple of minutes on each side.
STEP 3
Place fried chicken thighs in a deep baking dish. It is not necessary to grease the pan, since there is enough fat on the chicken for the pan. In general, you can skip the process of frying in a frying pan, but, in my opinion, this way the finished dish looks rosy and more appetizing.
STEP 4
Prepare the cream sauce. How to make sauce? Wash the dill (or other) greens, dry and finely chop. Peel the garlic and finely chop it with a knife or chop it using a garlic press.
STEP 5
For the sauce, heat a dry frying pan over medium heat until hot and fry the flour in it for a minute until it has a characteristic nutty aroma. Just stir it constantly so that the flour does not burn.
STEP 6
While stirring constantly, pour the cream into the pan with the flour. Stir the sauce well so that there are no lumps. Then add chopped garlic and dill. Add a little salt and spices to the sauce to taste. You can use ground pepper and paprika as spices. Stir and, stirring constantly, bring it to a boil. The sauce will thicken slightly when heated.
STEP 7
Pour the prepared cream sauce over the chicken thighs in the pan. Place the pan with the chicken in the oven, preheated to 190 degrees, for 45-50 minutes, use your oven as a guide. The finished thighs will be golden brown in color.
STEP 8
Place the finished dish on prepared plates and serve hot. You can complement this chicken with any side dish and fresh vegetables. Bon appetit!
