  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make cherries in your own juice with sugar for the winter? To do this you will need fresh cherries and sugar. Wash the cherries very well and let the water drain.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Then remove the seeds in any way convenient for you)

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Wash the jars with a weak soda solution and sterilize. I usually do this using a multicooker (but it was busy)))), so I poured some water into a suitable ladle, it simmered over low heat, and the jar was sterilized)

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Place cherries and sugar in layers in a dry and sterilized jar. For a half-liter jar I use 4 heaped tablespoons of sugar. Shake the jar a little so that the cherry fits snugly.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

The last layer should be sugar.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Pour water into a large saucepan and place a towel on the bottom. Place the jars, cover them with lids, but do not screw them in! The water in the pan should be slightly above the middle of the jar. Bring the water to a boil over moderate heat and sterilize the jars over low heat for 20 minutes.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Carefully remove hot jars from the pan and securely close the lids. Turn upside down and cover with a blanket until completely cool.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Our cherries are ready in their own juice) Fragrant and tasty)

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

    Bon appetit!

Cherry harvesting is in full swing. I really love cherry preparations. I liked the recipe “cherries in their own juice with sugar for the winter.” We picked the berries without washing them, they were clean, straight from the tree, and we removed the seeds with a pin. Then I put the pitted cherries into half-liter jars, sprinkling them with granulated sugar. I also put 4 tbsp in a jar. I sterilized jars of cherries according to the author’s advice for 20 minutes. From 6 kg of cherries I got 15 0.5 l jars. The juice that came out was very tasty, there was just enough sugar, I couldn’t help but try it) I rolled it up, turned it over and they stood under a blanket. The preparation is excellent! Nothing complicated! The longest process is to remove the seeds, helpers are needed here) Cherries with their own juice and sugar for the winter are perfect for filling, and for layers, and for cakes, and for decoration, and for buns, and you can eat it just like that) I took the recipe to the piggy bank! Thanks to the author!

Angel, what a delicious cherry you have in the photo, although I don’t love it completely, unconditionally and irrevocably, no matter what it is, I’m tempted even here! Thanks for your efforts!!! Special thanks for step 3 <br />

But I prepare cherries differently, in the oven. And there is no need to sterilize, she is sterilized there herself. You can do it without sugar at all, you can put one spoon per 0.5 liter jar.
