    How to make a cake with prunes and walnuts? First of all, you need to prepare a sponge cake. Prepare all the ingredients for it. Sift the flour through a sieve to saturate it with oxygen.

    In a separate bowl, bring the milk and butter to a boil and let the butter melt completely. Alternately add flour, soda and milk mixture to the egg mixture. Gently mix everything with a whisk, by hand, so that the dough remains fluffy.

    Then stir in the cocoa. Line the bottom of a springform baking dish with baking paper and place a ring on it. Pour the dough into a mold (20 cm) and place in the oven, preheated to 180 degrees, for 45-60 minutes. Be guided by your oven.     Before assembling the cake, prepare everything you need for the filling. Butter and cream cheese should be at room temperature. It is advisable to cook boiled condensed milk yourself - it tastes better. Cook the closed jar in boiling water for 2 hours, then cool completely.

    Pour boiling water over the prunes for about 5 minutes. Then drain the water and rinse the prunes. And fill it with aromatic alcohol again. Let soak for 20-30 minutes. This step is optional. Chop the nuts a little with a knife and fry in a dry frying pan until a characteristic aroma appears. Place the roasted nuts on a plate to prevent them from burning in the still hot frying pan.

    To prepare the cream, mix soft butter with boiled condensed milk. Then stir the cream cheese into the cream. You can use a mixer for this. It will seem that the cream is runny. This is fine. Everything in the assembled cake will harden well. Set aside 1/3 of the cream for coating the cake.

    Remove prunes from alcohol, dry and finely chop. Stir chopped nuts and prunes into the remaining 2/3 of the cream.

For the first of September, I prepared a treat for the children using this recipe for a cake with prunes and walnuts. The sponge cake turned out gorgeous: dense, but at the same time porous and soft. I baked the sponge cake for 40 minutes in a mold with a diameter of 19 cm. The cream turned out very tasty and tender. It is moderately sweet and very pleasant to the taste. I didn’t have prunes, so I replaced them with dried apricots. I didn’t use alcohol for obvious reasons. The cake turned out very tasty, well soaked. The cream goes well with the biscuit.
