STEP 1
How to cook cabbage soup for weight loss? Prepare the ingredients according to the list. Peel the white cabbage from the outer dry leaves and cut it into small pieces. There is no need to chop the cabbage too finely. It is believed that large pieces of cabbage will take longer to chew, thereby satiating faster.
STEP 2
Wash and peel the carrots. If the carrots are just from the garden, then just rub them with a stiff brush. Cut the carrots into circles or semi-circles if they are not large. Cut large ones into cubes.
STEP 3
Peel the onions and cut into cubes. Instead of onions, you can use leeks; they have a more delicate taste. Finely chop the celery. You can use other fresh herbs to taste.
STEP 4
Wash bell peppers and tomatoes. For peppers, remove the seed capsule, and for tomatoes, remove the place where the stalk attaches. Cut the vegetable pulp into cubes.
STEP 5
Pour clean filtered water into a saucepan and place on fire. The article on saucepans, link at the end of the recipe, will help you choose the ideal soup pot. When the water boils, add cabbage and carrots to the pan. Cook the vegetables for about 7 minutes over medium heat.
STEP 6
After the specified time, add onions, bell peppers, tomatoes, celery to the pan and continue cooking for about 10 minutes. Add spices to taste. It is not recommended to add salt to this soup, as it retains moisture in the body and prevents weight loss. But if you really want to, you can add a pinch of salt to balance the taste.
STEP 7
Add curry if desired. This spice helps you lose weight, but I'm not a fan of its taste, so I added a pinch of ground black pepper. You can add another clove of garlic passed through a press for flavor. Cook the soup for about 10 minutes, then turn off the heat and let the soup simmer, covered, for 15 minutes.
