STEP 1

How to make loose shortbread pie with jam? Prepare the necessary ingredients for this. You can use any jam for the filling, as long as it is thick. I have blackcurrant jam. Sift the flour through a sieve in advance.
STEP 2

To prepare the dough, take a comfortable, spacious bowl. Combine flour and oatmeal in it. Add a pinch of salt and vanilla.
STEP 3

Then add both types of sugar to the bowl. If you don't have brown sugar, add white sugar instead. Mix all dry ingredients together.
STEP 4

Melt the butter. This can be done in a microwave oven or in a water bath. Pour the melted butter into the bowl with the dry ingredients.
STEP 5

Mix everything until the dough turns into crumbs.
STEP 6

To prepare the pie, take an 18-20 cm pan. Cover the bottom with parchment. Divide the dough into 2 unequal parts. Spread most of it over the bottom of the pan in an even layer, forming small sides on the sides.
STEP 7

Spread your chosen jam onto the dough. Level it out.
STEP 8

Sprinkle the remaining dough on top. Press a little to make it tight. Place the pie in the oven, preheated to 180 degrees, for 25-30 minutes. Be guided by your oven.
STEP 9

The finished pie will be slightly golden in color. Remove pan from oven.
STEP 10

Remove the pie from the pan and cool. Cut the pie into pieces and serve with tea. Bon appetit!
