    How to stew broccoli? Prepare all the necessary products that are indicated in the recipe. The list is not long and simple. Cabbage can be taken either fresh or frozen. I often cook from fresh broccoli.

    Rinse the cabbage and separate into florets. The size of the inflorescences can be large, medium or smaller (make it as you like). The further cooking time depends on the size of the cabbage pieces. Peel the garlic, rinse and dry. Cut the cloves by hand into small pieces.

    A saucepan or frying pan works well for stewing cabbage. I usually use a frying pan. So, pour olive or vegetable oil into the pan. Place on the stove and heat up. Place the garlic in the oil, leave for just a few seconds until the garlic becomes slightly transparent.

    Add the inflorescences to the pan, stirring and frying for a few seconds.

    Pour in a small amount of water so that the liquid covers the broccoli a little less than half. The amount of water may differ from what is indicated in the recipe, it depends on the shape of the pan and the diameter of its bottom. Cover the cabbage with a lid and simmer over low heat for about three to four minutes.

    Open the lid and add salt to the broccoli to taste. At this stage, you can add aromatic dried herbs and ground black pepper to taste. I really like the combination of cabbage and nutmeg, so I usually add that too. A pinch of sweet paprika will not be superfluous.

    Mix everything, increase the flame and evaporate the remaining liquid from the pan.

    The cabbage is ready! Serve hot or cold.

I really love broccoli. Usually I just boil it in salted water with spices. This time I decided to diversify the menu and cooked broccoli stewed in a frying pan. I decided to fry the garlic not just in vegetable oil, but added a little butter. Since my cabbage was frozen, I did not add additional water, and the broccoli was stewed perfectly. It turned out to be a very tasty side dish. The unobtrusive garlic aroma and creamy shade complement and reveal the taste of broccoli very well. Wonderful recipe.
