Beetroot with egg

An excellent appetizer - simple, delicious, quick and easy. Beets with eggs are not as common a combination as with nuts or prunes. But the salad from them turns out very tasty and interesting, especially if you season it with garlic mayonnaise.

    How to make beets with eggs? Prepare your food. Pre-boil the beets and eggs and cool. You can use either store-bought or home-made mayonnaise.

    How to hard boil eggs? To prevent eggs from cracking during cooking, place them in cold water and cook over low heat. Boil the eggs for 9 minutes after boiling, then cover with cold water and cool. The shell will be better cleaned from a sharp temperature change. Peel the cooled eggs and cut them into medium cubes.

    How to cook beets? You can simply boil it in a saucepan in water. To do this, wash the root vegetables well with a brush, fill them with cold water and place on medium heat. After boiling, reduce the heat and cook the beets for 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the size of the fruit. You can also bake beets in foil in the oven at 180°C for 30-40 minutes. Or in the microwave at maximum power for 6-8 minutes. Cut the cooled and peeled beets into large cubes.

    Peel the garlic and squeeze it through a press into the mayonnaise. Or grate it on a fine grater.

    Mix mayonnaise with garlic.

    Place the chopped eggs and beets in a bowl. Add salt. Even though the salad will be dressed with mayonnaise, I still salt it - I always lack salt in salads with eggs. You are guided by your taste. Add garlic mayonnaise.

    Mix beet salad with eggs and mayonnaise and put it in the refrigerator for an hour - the food will be better saturated with garlic aroma. Serve the salad to the table. Bon appetit!

I made beets with eggs today. It turned out to be an excellent, tasty, fresh salad! Boiled beets and eggs. I cooled them completely, cut them into approximately equal cubes, and mixed them. Added garlic chopped with a knife, mayonnaise and a little salt. Mixed everything well. The appetizer is made as simply as possible, but it turns out surprisingly tasty!

I wanted to snack on something light and at the same time nutritious. And I found everything I like in one salad that is so unpretentious and at the same time delicious. Boiled beets? Yes fine. Boiled eggs are a source of protein and vitamins. A little banal mayonnaise, okay, but I rubbed some garlic in it. It's both spicy and fresh. On top there is a little seasonal greenery to please the eye. Excellent composition and budget at the same time. No need for salt or sugar, if only a little to taste. I cooked without them. I took note of the recipe, it’s really good and simple, especially when a guest is on the doorstep.
