Step-by-step preparation

Cooking timeCooking time: 4 hr
  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

To make biscuits you will need: sugar, vanilla sugar, eggs at room temperature, flour, baking powder, cocoa powder and starch.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Pour sugar into a mixing bowl. Wash the eggs and beat them there. Beat with a mixer for five minutes. First at minimum speed, and then gradually increasing it.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

The mass should increase in volume, and the whisk should leave soft melting media on the surface. The consistency is approximately as in the photo.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Divide the dough in half. I divided by eye, but for an accurate result you will need a kitchen scale.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

In a bowl with white biscuit dough, add half (30 grams) of flour, sifted twice, half a teaspoon of baking powder, half a tablespoon of vanilla sugar and all the starch.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Gently mix the ingredients with a spatula, kneading the dough from bottom to top, from the edges to the middle.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

In a bowl with chocolate sponge dough, add the remaining half (30 grams) of flour, sifted twice, half a teaspoon of baking powder, half a tablespoon of vanilla sugar and all the cocoa.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Stir the chocolate dough until smooth, using a spatula in the same manner.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Grease the bottom of the baking dish with sunflower oil. And at the same time! start pouring white and chocolate dough into it from opposite sides, so that each type of dough fills half of the mold. The main part of the dough will be in the mold, and what remains on the walls of the bowls can be spread out with a spatula. The dough, obeying the laws of physics, will not mix; a clear boundary will form between the white and chocolate parts. My mold has an internal diameter of 18 cm.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Bake the biscuit in the oven at 180 degrees for half an hour. Check doneness with a wooden skewer, remove and cool. Using a sharp knife, cut the biscuit in half.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

Cut out the silhouette of a banana from paper and use a small sharp knife to cut out four biscuit pieces: two chocolate and two white. These will be the layers of the cake.

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

Beat a washed chicken egg into a small saucepan, add sugar, flour and sour cream. Stir everything until smooth and cook over low heat until thickened.

  13. STEP 13

    STEP 13

The cream should be thick. Remove it from the heat and cool slightly.

  14. STEP 14

    STEP 14

Prepare the impregnation for the cakes. You just need to mix water with lemon juice.

  15. STEP 15

    STEP 15

Place two tablespoons of cream in a separate bowl. Add a couple of drops of yellow food coloring to it and mix. Yellow cream will be needed for decoration.

  16. STEP 16

    STEP 16

Peel a ripe banana and cut into thin rings.

  17. STEP 17

    STEP 17

Assembling the cake. Place the first chocolate cake on a serving plate. Soak it with a couple of spoons of lemon juice. Spread one third of the white cream on top. And distribute banana slices on top. Then the white cake, impregnation and the second third of the cream (without banana). Next comes the chocolate cake, the filling, the rest of the cream and bananas.

  18. STEP 18

    STEP 18

The last thing is the white cake and impregnation. Add a tablespoon of water to the yellow cream set aside in advance and mix. The cream will become more pliable. Using a spoon, spread the yellow cream over the cake, leaving 3 millimeters from the edges.

  19. STEP 19

    STEP 19

Melt the chocolate in a saucepan over low heat. Place in a piping bag and draw the outline of a banana, a stack and several stripes. Leave the cake in the refrigerator to soak for two hours. After which it is ready to serve!
