STEP 1
How to bake chicken wings in the oven? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. It is better to take the wings chilled. If you have frozen wings, defrost them first. Read about all the intricacies of proper defrosting in a separate article, link at the end of the recipe. Rinse the wings and dry well with paper towels. Turn on the oven to 180 degrees in advance.
STEP 2
Cut each wing into three parts at the joint. It will be more convenient to eat this way.
STEP 3
Prepare the batter. In a bowl, mix starch, paprika, salt, a mixture of peppers and just a little chili pepper. Mix everything well. In a deep bowl or bag, pour the dry batter over the wings, close and shake, distributing evenly over the wings.
STEP 4
Grease a baking dish with oil, place the wings in it in one layer and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 30 minutes. The exact time depends on your oven. I use a disposable BBQ foil pan, it has holes and grooves to allow the juices and fat to drain out, so the wings will be drier and cook well, which is what we want.
STEP 5
While the wings are baking in the oven, prepare the sauce. Pour ketchup into a bowl, add honey, vegetable oil and lemon juice, squeeze the garlic cloves through a press. Mix everything until smooth.
STEP 6
After 30 minutes, remove the wings from the oven, carefully turn them over and return them to the oven for 5-7 minutes to ensure even browning.
STEP 7
Remove the finished wings from the oven, place in a deep bowl, pour in the sauce and stir.
STEP 8
Serve the wings hot with a side dish, vegetables, or as a meal on their own. As a rule, everything is eaten at once. Bon appetit!
