Applesauce with condensed milk Nezhenka
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to make applesauce with condensed milk for the winter Nezhenka? Prepare your food. Apples are suitable for any size and variety. It is better if they are sweet and aromatic. Take condensed milk of good quality without milk fat substitutes. This condensed milk should contain only milk and sugar. Take filtered or bottled water.
STEP 2
Rinse the apples well and dry.
STEP 3
Apples can be prepared in two ways. For the first one: peel the fruit, cut into four parts and remove the seed box. This method is convenient because in the future you can simply grind the puree with a blender.
STEP 4
Second method: cut the apples into four parts, cut out the seed box, but do not remove the peel. In the future, you will need to rub the apples through a sieve. This is a more labor-intensive process. But I prefer it, because... Apple peel contains a lot of pectin, which means the puree will be thicker.
STEP 5
Place the prepared apples in an enamel pan or cooking basin. Add purified water, place on the stove and bring to a boil.
STEP 6
Cook apples over medium heat for about 20 minutes until softened. Cooking time depends on the degree of hardness of the fruit. To speed up the process, you can cover the pan with a lid. Don't forget to stir the mixture so it doesn't burn.
STEP 7
Rub the boiled apple mixture through a fine sieve using a wooden spoon or pestle. If you peeled the apples, simply chop the apples using an immersion or stationary blender.
STEP 8
Return the puree to the pan and add condensed milk to it, stir. Cook the puree for about 8-10 minutes. The puree will splatter at this stage, so be careful. You can cover the pan with a lid, then the stove will remain clean. Don't forget to stir the puree so it doesn't burn.
STEP 9
Remove the pan from the heat and blend the puree with a blender. You can skip this step, but after whipping the puree will become more airy and tender. Return the pan to the stove and bring to a boil again.
STEP 10
Rinse the jars well in advance with baking soda and sterilize them in a convenient way: in the oven, over steam or in the microwave. Fill the lids with water and boil for 5 minutes.
STEP 11
Place the boiling puree in dry jars to the very top and close the lids tightly. I used a special key. Turn the jars upside down and wrap them in a blanket or terry towel. Leave until completely cool. After this, store the jars of puree in the refrigerator.
STEP 12
In winter, you can open a jar of Nezhenka and enjoy a delicious dessert from childhood. Bon appetit!
