  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make simple apple jam for the winter using a blender? Prepare everything you need. To taste, it is better to take apples sour or sweet and sour. Rinse the apples well in running water to remove any dirt.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Peel and core the apples. Cut the peeled apples into pieces. The size of the pieces is not important, since later the apples will boil. Place the chopped apples in a suitable pan for cooking. I have an enamel pan. This is the most convenient option. You should not use aluminum cookware to avoid a negative reaction with apple juice.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Cover the apples with sugar and pour in a little water. There is no need to add all the sugar at once. Depending on the taste of the apples, you may need more or less sugar.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Place the pan on the fire and bring everything to a boil, stirring occasionally.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Cook the apples over low heat for 10-15 minutes. During this time they will become very soft.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Using a blender, puree the apples into smooth applesauce. If you don’t have a blender, you can rub soft apples through a sieve. Then return the applesauce to the heat. At this stage, you can taste the jam and, if necessary, add a little more sugar. Cook the jam over low heat, stirring constantly for another 10 minutes. The longer you cook it, the darker and thicker it will become.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Prepare the dishes for the jam. Wash and sterilize small jars in a way convenient for you. This can be done in a microwave, oven or over hot steam. Place the jam in jars and close with lids, which must first be doused with boiling water.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Turn the jars over and check for leaks. In order for the jam to slowly cool down and serve, wrap the jars in a warm blanket and cool it like that. Store the cooled jam in a cool place for storage.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

In winter it’s so nice to open a jar of such tasty and aromatic jam! Enjoy your treat!

I made a simple apple jam for the winter using a blender. Peel the apples using a vegetable peeler, cut them into slices, removing the core. The weight of my chopped apples is 2 kg. I decided to cook it in a slow cooker to free myself from constant stirring and to protect myself from splashes when cooking the jam. Immediately sprinkle the apple slices with sugar, add water, stir and cook until the apples are soft. Then, using a blender, I crushed the jam until smooth, closed the multicooker and cooked in the “stew” mode. The jam was ready in about 15 minutes, but I wanted to get a brighter color, so I cooked it for about 40 minutes, stirring occasionally (do this very carefully - the jam “puffs” and splashes). The jam is very soft in consistency, aromatic, beautiful, and quite thick. Just a delight! Thanks for the recipe, Julia M!
