Simple apple jam using a blender
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

How to make simple apple jam for the winter using a blender? Prepare everything you need. To taste, it is better to take apples sour or sweet and sour. Rinse the apples well in running water to remove any dirt.
STEP 2

Peel and core the apples. Cut the peeled apples into pieces. The size of the pieces is not important, since later the apples will boil. Place the chopped apples in a suitable pan for cooking. I have an enamel pan. This is the most convenient option. You should not use aluminum cookware to avoid a negative reaction with apple juice.
STEP 3

Cover the apples with sugar and pour in a little water. There is no need to add all the sugar at once. Depending on the taste of the apples, you may need more or less sugar.
STEP 4

Place the pan on the fire and bring everything to a boil, stirring occasionally.
STEP 5

Cook the apples over low heat for 10-15 minutes. During this time they will become very soft.
STEP 6

Using a blender, puree the apples into smooth applesauce. If you don’t have a blender, you can rub soft apples through a sieve. Then return the applesauce to the heat. At this stage, you can taste the jam and, if necessary, add a little more sugar. Cook the jam over low heat, stirring constantly for another 10 minutes. The longer you cook it, the darker and thicker it will become.
STEP 7

Prepare the dishes for the jam. Wash and sterilize small jars in a way convenient for you. This can be done in a microwave, oven or over hot steam. Place the jam in jars and close with lids, which must first be doused with boiling water.
STEP 8

Turn the jars over and check for leaks. In order for the jam to slowly cool down and serve, wrap the jars in a warm blanket and cool it like that. Store the cooled jam in a cool place for storage.
STEP 9

In winter it’s so nice to open a jar of such tasty and aromatic jam! Enjoy your treat!
