STEP 1

How to make Viennese apple waffles in a waffle iron? To begin, prepare the necessary ingredients according to the list. The milk must be taken out of the refrigerator in advance; it must be at room temperature. You can replace regular flour with any gluten-free flour: corn, oat, rice, etc. But keep in mind that you may need more or less other types of flour.
STEP 2

In a bowl, combine eggs, room temperature milk, sugar and vanilla sugar. Beat with a whisk until smooth. You can adjust the amount of sugar depending on the sweetness of the apples. If the apples are sweet, you can reduce the sugar.
STEP 3

Pour in vegetable oil and stir.
STEP 4

Add flour sifted with baking powder. It is important to sift the flour to saturate it with oxygen. Then the baked goods will turn out airy and rise well during baking. Mix the dough thoroughly, breaking up all the lumps. The dough should look like pancakes. If the dough is very thick, add more milk. If, on the contrary, it is too liquid, add a little more flour. Look at the consistency.
STEP 5

Peel the apples from the core and skin. Grate on a coarse grater. To prevent the apples from darkening, you can sprinkle them with lemon juice. Take apples that are sweet and sour, juicy, with a bright, pronounced taste. Suitable varieties: Simerinka and Granny Smith. The richer the green skin of the apples, the longer they will not darken.

Add apples to the dough and mix thoroughly.
STEP 7

Preheat the electric waffle iron. Place some dough in the center and close the lid. Bake for 5-7 minutes until golden brown. The times are approximate, please use your technique. If waffles stick to the surface of the waffle iron, you can grease the panels with vegetable oil before baking each waffle.
STEP 8

Place the finished Viennese apple waffles on a plate and serve, sprinkled with powdered sugar. These waffles can also be baked in a multi-baker. Bon appetit!
