Pink salmon soup
Pink salmon meat is delicious in any form, not only boiled or stewed. But only in the ear can it be used entirely, along with the head and even the fins. That is, if you need, for example, to set aside fish fillets for more serious dishes, you can completely do this. And for the soup, leave the tail, head and some meat (wherever you don’t mind)). Even with such a set, pink salmon soup turns out super tasty, no matter what recipe is chosen for it.
Speaking of recipes: you don’t have to bother looking for a specific one, but use any that mentions red fish. Especially from the salmon family: salmon, chum salmon, trout, masu salmon, etc.
Fish soup is considered a classic dish, the set of vegetables for which is proportionally smaller than fish meat. And in principle there should be no potatoes in it. But since life does not stand still and everything changes, today fish soup is often cooked with the whole range of vegetables and even cereals or pasta - like a regular soup. Whether it is good or bad, traditional, classic or not, is completely unimportant, since the choice is always up to the one who cooks.
As was said, any parts of a fish carcass that are usually discarded will work for fish soup. To those listed above, you can also add trimmed ridges (with flesh captured). Moreover, classic fish soup is not cooked from fillet at all, although this rule can be broken.

If you cook from small cut parts of pink salmon without heads, then all the products, except the most delicate ones like tomatoes, can be placed in a saucepan or cauldron at the same time. That is, chop or chop everything, add salt and bay leaves. Add water and cook until boiling. Then reduce the heat, add tomatoes (if necessary) and cook for 10-15 minutes. At the end, add the herbs and garlic and keep on the stove for about five minutes.
