Who doesn't love hot sandwiches straight from the oven for their morning meal? It's delicious and homey. In addition, if you have different ingredients, you can prepare any sandwiches that will appeal to meat-eaters, vegans, and picky eaters.
Typically, sandwiches in the oven are prepared on a bread base: a wheat or rye loaf, cut into portions. You can cut it into shapes: circles, triangles, squares, or even use cookie cutters. Or you don’t have to worry too much and cut it as is.
To make the sandwich juicy, it is good to apply some kind of sauce, for example, tomato or garlic, to the bread base. And then layer other foods on top: sausage, ham, fried or boiled fillet, cutlet, cheese, vegetables, herbs. Cooking time will depend on the quality of the oven. This will approximately be from five to twenty minutes. If you want to get a crust, you need to hold it longer, but be careful not to burn.
In the oven, sandwiches can be prepared both multi-layer and 2-3-layer (tomato plus cheese), laying out the pieces of bread tightly to each other or leaving enough space. Experienced housewives practice preparing a full breakfast in the form of this dish.
To do this, take two slices of crusty bread for one serving. One of them has the middle completely cut out. The crust is then placed on top of the first slice. And the resulting depression is filled with any filling desired. Let's say chopped vegetables mixed with cheese and herbs. Or a raw egg - the finished form turns out to be scrambled eggs in a loaf. Or raw minced meat with spices. There are as many recipes for oven-baked sandwiches as there are many variations of their flavors and food combinations.
By the way, another interesting solution: take a whole loaf, remove the crumb from it, fill the resulting void with filling and bake the whole thing. Once ready, cut into individual sandwiches and serve hot.
