Hot sandwiches with sausage, cheese and tomatoes in the oven
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to make hot sandwiches with tomatoes, sausage and cheese in the oven? Prepare your food. You can take any bread - whole grain, toast, or gray. Personally, I have not experimented with rye, but perhaps it will be suitable for such sandwiches. Any sausage will also work - ham, boiled, smoked, even sausages. Instead of ketchup, you can use mayonnaise or mild mustard.
STEP 2
Before you start cooking, immediately turn on the oven to preheat - while you cut food and make a sandwich, it will warm up. Set the temperature to 180°C. Wash the tomato, dry it and cut it into thin slices. I took a medium-sized tomato; its slices were just the width of a piece of loaf. If you have a large tomato, cut each slice in half. You can also use cherry tomatoes, they will need to be cut into cubes.
STEP 3
Grate the cheese on a fine grater, so it will melt more accurately and faster. When choosing cheese for hot sandwiches, the main criterion is how well it melts. Also try to take a natural product, without milk fat substitutes.
STEP 4
Take slices of loaf, spread each with a small amount of ketchup (mayonnaise, mustard). Make the layer very small so that the crumb of the bread does not become soggy.
STEP 5
Place sausage slices on bread. I took ready-made cuts, you can cut the sausage yourself. If the slices are very thin, then you can put several at once, it will be tastier. It is better to grate the sausages on a coarse grater so that they do not fall off the piece.
STEP 6
Place tomato slices on top. I got two slices per sandwich.
STEP 7
Sprinkle each sandwich with grated cheese.
STEP 8
Take a baking tray and line it with baking paper. You can cook sandwiches without it, but with paper the baking tray will not get dirty. I took a silicone mat. Place sandwiches on it.
STEP 9
Bake sandwiches for 10 minutes until cheese melts. Remove the finished sandwiches from the oven, cool slightly and serve. Determine the exact baking time and temperature based on your oven. Bon appetit!
