  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make zucchini boats? Prepare your ingredients. I used fresh mushrooms, but you can also use frozen ones. Please note that the frying time will increase slightly, as they will give a lot of excess moisture that will need to be evaporated.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Wash the zucchini (I used zucchini) and wipe dry. Cut in half. Using a knife, make cuts inside, not reaching the skin. Use a spoon to scoop out the pulp and set aside. We will add it to the minced meat later, finely chopping it. And the zucchini themselves will be the basis for our boats.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Clean the mushrooms from debris, wash and finely chop. Peel the onion and finely chop it too. Heat a frying pan on the stove. Pour vegetable oil into it. Fry the onions and mushrooms in a frying pan in oil until tender, stirring. Grate hard or semi-hard cheese on a coarse grater.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Add fried mushrooms with onions, chopped zucchini pulp and 2/3 of grated cheese to the prepared minced meat (I have a mixture of chicken and pork). Mix everything. Add salt and pepper to taste. Turn the oven to 190 degrees to warm up.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Line an oven tray or baking tray with baking paper. Arrange the prepared zucchini “boats”. Fill them evenly with minced meat. Sprinkle the remaining grated cheese on top. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven for approximately 40 minutes. Determine the baking time and temperature based on your oven.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

"Boats" need sails. Let's make them from fresh cucumber. Wash it first and cut off the edges. Thinly slice into rectangular slices. This can be done either with a very sharp regular knife or with a special paring knife. Use a toothpick to shape the cucumbers into a sail.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Insert toothpicks with a cucumber sail into the ready-made hot zucchini boats and serve immediately. Bon appetit!

Thanks for the current recipe. In the summer, these are the only dishes to cook. Zucchini with minced meat can be baked a little differently.

When you're tired of pasta and potatoes, it's time for zucchini. I made them today using a recipe for zucchini boats in the oven with minced meat and mushrooms. It’s interesting that grated cheese is also added to the filling along with minced meat, onions, mushrooms and zucchini; I’ve never added it before. But with cheese it turns out much tastier. I grated the zucchini for the filling on a coarse grater to make it more uniform. I added a little of it. I took forest mushrooms - boletus and boletus. It turned out great! The zucchini has become soft without losing its juiciness. The cheese on top has turned into a delicious crust, with a very tasty filling underneath! Thank you very much for the recipe!

I liked the recipe for Zucchini Boats in the oven with minced meat and mushrooms and decided to try it. And, as always, all the ingredients were not available. The minced meat was made from chicken breasts with onions, black pepper, and chicken seasoning from India. Only pickled mushrooms were found in the refrigerator. Ermolinsky cheese. Everything else, except the sails, is according to the recipe. Bake on Foil at 200 degrees for 40 minutes. It turned out edible and even tasty!
