Whole baked trout in the oven

STEP 1
How to bake whole trout in the oven? It is better, of course, to use fresh trout, but if, like me, you have frozen trout, you must first defrost it. It's better to do this in the refrigerator. This way the fish will retain its juiciness and proper structure. I place the fish in the refrigerator and leave it overnight to defrost. Gut the fish and rinse. Salt and pepper outside and inside. Do not overdo it with spices so that the trout does not lose its true taste.
STEP 2
Line the bottom of a baking dish with foil and place the fish on it. Pour in vegetable oil.
STEP 3
Cut the lemon into thin slices, garlic into small pieces. Brush the fish with garlic and place lemon slices on it. You can optionally bake your favorite vegetables along with the fish.
STEP 4
Wrap trout carcasses tightly in foil. Bake the fish for about 15 minutes at 200°C. Then unwrap and bake for another 5-10 minutes until golden brown. It may take a little more or less time, depending on your oven. Sprinkle the finished fish with fresh chopped dill or any other herbs to suit your taste. Trout baked whole in the oven is ready, bon appetit!
