STEP 1

How to make PP Viennese waffles in a waffle iron or multi-baker? To begin, prepare the necessary ingredients according to the list. You can replace rice flour with any gluten-free flour: oatmeal, corn, etc. You can also make waffles from regular flour. But keep in mind that you may need more or less flour of other types. You can replace the sweetener with 50-60 g of regular sugar, powdered sugar, molasses or honey.
STEP 2

In a bowl, combine room temperature kefir, egg and sweetener. Mix with a whisk until smooth.
STEP 3

Add rice flour sifted with baking powder. Whisk the dough again until smooth. You may need more or less flour. Depends on the fat content and moisture content of kefir, the size of the egg and the quality of the flour itself. If you are making waffles for the first time, add flour in parts.
STEP 4

The dough should turn out like semi-thick sour cream. If the dough is very thick and lumpy, add more kefir. If, on the contrary, it is too liquid, add a little more rice flour. Look at the consistency.
STEP 5

Preheat the electric waffle iron. Pour out some dough. Close the lid of the device and bake the waffles for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
STEP 6

The heating temperature for each waffle iron model is individual. Therefore, the exact cooking time for your appliance can only be determined experimentally. Adjust the baking time specified in the recipe to suit your waffle iron. If waffles are sticking to the surface of the waffle iron, you can brush the panels with vegetable oil or melted butter before baking each waffle.
STEP 7

Place the finished Viennese waffles on a plate and serve warm or chilled, garnished with berries and mint. Bon appetit!
