The cake consists of two butter sponges sandwiched with jam and cream. Strawberry jam is traditionally used, but whatever you have in stock will work. And instead of butter cream, you can also make butter cream, but then the cake will turn out to have more calories. So the choice is yours.

Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
Ingredients for the crusts.

Beat soft butter with sugar.
STEP 3
Add 2 eggs one at a time, beating thoroughly after each.

Sift the flour with baking powder, add to the dough and stir until smooth.
STEP 5
Place the dough in a mold with a diameter of 20 cm.

Bake at 180 C for about 25-30 minutes. This way we bake 2 cakes.

Whip the cream with powdered sugar until thick.

Forming a cake. Place 1 cake layer on a plate and spread it with a layer of strawberry jam.

Apply a layer of whipped cream to the jam.

Cover with the second cake layer and press down lightly.
STEP 12
Sprinkle the surface of the cake with powdered sugar. Let the cake sit for a few hours and then serve.

Very delicate and pleasant taste, with an alluring sourness inside. I usually use cherry jam (jam) in my preparation. This gives an incredibly beautiful color to the composition, a subtle aroma and greatly stimulates the appetite. I can’t help but note the beauty of the cake - the combination of white (cream) and red is simply solemn! I'm cooking for the Christmas holidays. Very easy and unpretentious to prepare. The main thing is just to bake a biscuit and 90% of the success is already in your pocket! Bon appetit!
