  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

To prepare Ukrainian salad, take the ingredients from the list. These are ripe but strong tomatoes, carrots, sweet peppers, onions and spices: cloves, peppercorns, bay leaves. The salad is seasoned with sunflower oil, vinegar, salt and sugar.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Chop the vegetables into strips or cubes, not very finely; remember that the salad will be subject to heat treatment, and vegetables that are not boiled into porridge are always more appetizing and juicier.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Cut the tomatoes into large slices.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Place the prepared vegetables in a saucepan, add salt, sugar, bay leaf, black and allspice peas, and clove stars. Season with sunflower oil and table vinegar. Place the vegetables over medium heat and cook for 5 minutes from the moment they boil. At this time, prepare the jars and lids: sterilize the jars in the microwave by pouring a little water and turning on maximum power for 3 minutes (or, as usual, boil), pour boiling water over the lids.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Place the hot salad into the prepared jars, filling halfway with juice.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Place the jars in the microwave at the rate of 3 half-liter jars - 7 minutes. In total, the specified amount of ingredients will make 5 liter jars (or 9-10 half-liter jars). Or sterilize in the usual way - in a water bath.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Roll up the jars with sterile lids and place them “under a fur coat” until they cool completely.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

All! Ukrainian salad is ready. Store it in a cool place until needed. Salad is an excellent appetizer for meat dishes, boiled or fried potatoes. Bon appetit!
