  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make turtle salad with smoked chicken and walnuts? Boil the chicken fillet in boiling salted water until tender - about 25 minutes. I got 300 grams of one fillet. Remove it from the broth and let cool. At the same time, boil the eggs hard-boiled - this will take 10 minutes. Cool them in cold water.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Peel the onion and chop finely. Pour hot water for 5 minutes to remove bitterness. Drain the water.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Cut the smoked chicken fillet into small pieces. Divide four eggs (we will leave two for decoration) into yolks and whites and grate separately from each other on a fine grater. Grate the melted cheese on a coarse grater.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Peel the apples and grate the pulp on a coarse grater. It turns out to be a mush.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Let's start assembling the salad. I placed dill on the dish, which acts as a bedding, which can then be removed along with the crumbs left over from assembling the salad. Place the smoked chicken in the first layer. I pre-mixed it with mayonnaise - it’s more convenient for me, because the layer then adheres well and does not fall apart. You can lay out the dry fillet and generously coat it with mayonnaise on top.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Place the onion in the second layer - I did not grease it with mayonnaise.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

The third layer is egg whites, the layer also comes without mayonnaise.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

The fourth layer is apple pulp, without mayonnaise.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

The fifth layer is processed cheese.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

After the fifth layer, grease with mayonnaise not only the layer itself, but also the entire salad “structure”.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

The sixth layer is egg yolks, with which we sprinkle the salad on all sides. You need to apply mayonnaise to this layer (you can dot it) so that it holds the next layer together.

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

The final seventh layer is chopped walnuts, with which we complete the image of the turtle. Remove the dill bedding if you also laid it.

  13. STEP 13

    STEP 13

Make the turtle's head and paws from the remaining two eggs: for the head, whole, for the paws, cut the egg into 4 parts. Use black peppercorns as eyes. Pierce the spots for the eyes with the edge of a knife in the shape of a cross. Place fresh dill around the turtle.

A delicious, colorful dish that surprised me with its design and taste! Juicy, unusual and very tasty turtle salad with chicken and walnuts. Melted cheese gives the dish a piquant taste, and the apple juiciness. Thanks for the recipe!
