STEP 1
How to fry tuna in a frying pan? Wash the tuna steaks and dry them with a paper towel. Salt, pepper and place lemon slices on top. You can pour lemon juice instead of slices. Leave to marinate for 40 minutes.
STEP 2
Pour vegetable or olive oil with a high smoke point over the seasoned fish and rub it lightly on both sides and sides. Steaks can, of course, be fried without oil, but this will make the tuna a little dry.
STEP 3
Heat the grill pan to high, WITHOUT OIL. It must be dry and very hot - this is very important! Place the steaks on the grill and apply a little pressure on top.
STEP 4
Fry on both sides for only 1.5-2 minutes so that the meat turns out very juicy and does not look like the so-called dry “sole”.
STEP 5
Our dish is ready! No, it's not raw - that's how it should be! After heat treatment, ready-to-eat steaks that are pinkish on the inside and golden brown on the outside are transferred to a flat dish or cutting surface. I recommend additionally greasing them with a little olive oil and lightly sprinkling them with lemon juice on both sides. Let the steaks rest for a couple of minutes, after which we present them to the guests.
