Tofu Kimchi - Korean fried pork with kimchi
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
Thinly slice the pork belly or neck and then cut it into pieces
STEP 2
Cut the onion into half rings. (you can use both white and onion)
STEP 3
Cut the kimchi into small pieces.
STEP 4
Cut the tofu into portions and set aside; we will need it at the end of cooking when serving.
STEP 5
Heat a frying pan over high heat, add 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil.
STEP 6
Add the pork and fry, stirring over high heat for 2-3 minutes.
STEP 7
Add onion, stir-fry for 2 minutes.
STEP 8
Add mirin.
STEP 9
Then add kimchi and mix well.
STEP 10
Add sugar, ground black pepper, ground hot red pepper (optional, the dish turns out spicy even without it due to kimchi, but if you like it spicy, I recommend adding hot pepper), add salt.
STEP 11
Mix well and cook for another 5-6 minutes.
STEP 12
Place fried pork with kimchi on one side of the plate and tofu on the other side of the plate. Serve with boiled rice.
