  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make thick waffles in a waffle iron? Prepare all the necessary products. Take larger eggs: it is best if they are homemade, or at least CO. The butter should be at room temperature, so take it out of the refrigerator in advance. I use wheat flour, but you can use any other flour: even buckwheat or rice - using different types, you can get a completely different taste of waffles every time.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

In a high-sided bowl, mix eggs and sugar. At this stage, lovers of spicy baking can diversify the traditional taste of waffles and add their favorite spices and seasonings to their taste: vanilla, cinnamon, cloves and ginger would be most appropriate here.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Beat well until the mixture turns white. To do this, it is best to use a mixer; it is unlikely that you will be able to beat it well with a whisk.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Add softened butter, sift in flour. I advise you not to neglect this process. Thanks to sifting, the baked goods are more tender and airy.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Beat the dough well until smooth. As you can see, it turns out quite thick.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Grease the electric waffle iron on each side with vegetable oil. To do this, it is best to use a silicone brush, and you can use absolutely any oil: olive or rapeseed will do. Warm up the device well enough.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Place some dough in the center of the baking surface. Cover with a lid, but do not press too hard. If you press hard, the dough will be distributed over the entire frying surface and the waffles will turn out very thin and fragile. And we bake tender, plump waffles.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Fry for about 4 minutes until golden brown. There is no need to turn anything over, because... The waffles are fried on both sides at once.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

This is how they turn out.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

I cut the waffles into 4 parts - this makes them easier to eat. Serve with tea or coffee. Enjoy your tea!
