STEP 1

How to make Viennese waffles in an electric waffle iron? Prepare everything you need for this. Remove the butter from the refrigerator in advance so that it warms up and becomes soft. Sift the flour through a sieve to saturate it with oxygen. Thanks to sifting, the finished product turns out fluffier.
STEP 2

To prepare the dough, combine soft butter and sugar. Mix them with a whisk into a homogeneous mass. You can slightly reduce or increase the amount of sugar to suit your taste.
STEP 3

Add eggs to the butter mixture and stir in warm milk.
STEP 4

Add lemon juice to the dough. Then add flour and soda and knead into a homogeneous dough so that there are no lumps of flour. The amount of flour is based on the consistency of the dough. The finished dough will be thick in consistency, approximately like pancakes.
STEP 5

Heat up the electric waffle iron. Lubricate the plates with a small amount of vegetable oil using a silicone brush. Spoon out the dough. Close the lid and bake the waffles until cooked and golden brown. Depending on the baking time, use your waffle iron as a guide. My waffles bake for 10-12 minutes.
STEP 6

The finished waffles are very tasty, aromatic and tender. Complete them with berry topping, sour cream or condensed milk. Enjoy your treat!
