There is no need to cover the pan with a lid. Let the finished rice sit for about 15 minutes.

    While the rice is steeping, prepare the dressing for it. To do this, heat the rice vinegar a little, add salt and sugar and stir until they dissolve.

    Pour the sauce over the boiled rice and stir gently with a wooden spatula.

    Cut two sheets of nori seaweed into small squares with scissors.

    You can start assembling the salad cake. To do this, it is convenient to use a serving ring with a diameter of 15 cm. Place the pieces of nori tightly in the first layer so that there are no gaps between them.

    Place the cream cheese in a pastry bag or regular bag, cutting off a corner. Spiral the cheese on top of the rice.

The layers were assembled in a ring from a baking dish with a diameter of 18 cm. It seems to me that the optimal height was obtained) I really liked that there was no mayonnaise in the salad. I was worried that it would turn out a little dry, but on the contrary, the salad turned out juicy. Here the cucumbers provide moisture and the rice vinegar saturates the rice in sufficient quantities. And cream cheese also holds foods together well and makes the taste tender and pleasant. Next time I would take more nori, two sheets per layer, I really like this seaweed) My fish layer was made from trout, it was cut into thin slices, just what I needed. I lightly fried the sesame seeds, this makes them more aromatic and tastier. We cut the cake with a knife, here, just like when cutting rolls, you need to clean and wet the knife every time so that the pieces are neat. But you can just take it with a spoon) The salad is simply magnificent in both appearance and taste. The guests were delighted! I like it. This is not the first time I’ve done this, but I decided to leave a review. Rolls are rolls, and the cake is cake 🤣 It looks beautiful on the table, whoever wants it, can try it. Like a snack in general 🔥. You can add and optimize at your own pleasure. I would add avocado😘 but the recipe is just bomb👍

Of course, the taste and color here are all individual, but... I would never cook this. Rolls and sushi don’t take long to prepare. The whole process takes me an hour and a half with boiling the rice in a rice cooker. And a whole mountain of sushi from a kilo of rice is ready. And how do you dip it into the sauce in your version? And watering from above... Well, that's not very good. Although, if it's easier for you...

I cooked the rice according to the instructions from the pack (I took a special one for Japanese cuisine). It took about 250g of cheese, about 180g of crab sticks, and about 300g of fish. And there is one more sheet of nori. To put it simply, I increased all the ingredients except rice. It turned out great, my husband and I finished this cake in the evening, very tasty and tender.
