Sushi cake salad
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to make salad Sushi cake? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Take short grain rice. Crab meat can be replaced with crab sticks. Any lightly salted fish is suitable: pink salmon, salmon or trout. You can also add shrimp and avocado to the filling of this cake. If desired, curd cheese can be mixed with wasabi and soy sauce.
STEP 2
Rinse the rice well several times until the water is clean. When cooking sushi rice, the ratio of rice to water should be 1:1.15. You can cook rice either in a regular saucepan or in a slow cooker. I use a slow cooker. To cook in a saucepan, you must first bring the rice to a boil over high heat, then reduce the heat to low and cook without stirring for about 15 minutes. There is no need to cover the pan with a lid. Let the finished rice sit for about 15 minutes.
STEP 3
While the rice is steeping, prepare the dressing for it. To do this, heat the rice vinegar a little, add salt and sugar and stir until they dissolve.
STEP 4
Pour the sauce over the boiled rice and stir gently with a wooden spatula.
STEP 5
Cut two sheets of nori seaweed into small squares with scissors.
STEP 6
You can start assembling the salad cake. To do this, it is convenient to use a serving ring with a diameter of 15 cm. Place the pieces of nori tightly in the first layer so that there are no gaps between them.
STEP 7
Place half of the rice in the next layer.
STEP 8
Place the cream cheese in a pastry bag or regular bag, cutting off a corner. Spiral the cheese on top of the rice.
STEP 9
Peel the cucumbers and cut into thin slices. Place a layer of cucumbers on top of the cream cheese.
STEP 10
Lightly fry the sesame seeds in a dry frying pan and sprinkle them over the cucumber layer.
STEP 11
Cut the crab meat (crab sticks) into small pieces and place the next layer of chopped crab sticks (crab meat). If you don't like crab meat, you can layer this layer with red fish. Then you will have two layers of fish.
STEP 12
Place chopped nori seaweed on top of the crab meat.
STEP 13
Place the rest of the rice in the next layer.
STEP 14
Pipe the remaining cream cheese from the piping bag.
STEP 15
Use a knife to smooth out the cream cheese slightly.
STEP 16
Place chopped red fish in the last layer and sprinkle sesame seeds on top. Sushi cake at home is ready. Bon appetit!
