Stuffed chicken breasts in the oven
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to bake stuffed chicken breasts in the oven? Prepare all the necessary ingredients for the dish. If the chicken breasts are large, then 3 pieces will be enough; if they are small, then you can take 4.
STEP 2
Wash each chicken fillet in running water, dry it and make longitudinal cuts, but not completely. Open the meat like a book. Salt and pepper the chicken and sprinkle with ground paprika. If desired, you can add other favorite spices.
STEP 3
Prepare all the necessary ingredients for the sauce. Use thicker sour cream so that the sauce is dense and does not spread.
STEP 4
In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, sour cream and ground black pepper. Mix everything well. If you want the sauce to be spicier, you can add 1-2 cloves of garlic, passed through a press.
STEP 5
Brush the uncovered breasts with the sauce and leave the chicken to marinate for 15-20 minutes.
STEP 6
Prepare all the necessary ingredients for the filling. In addition to dill, you can use other herbs, for example, parsley or cilantro. Wash the greens and dry. You can leave it finely chopped with a knife or leave it as whole branches.
STEP 7
Wash the tomatoes, dry and cut into semicircles. For this dish, it is better to take fleshy, dense tomatoes with a small amount of juice. If a lot of juice comes out of the tomatoes when slicing, you need to drain it, and also cut out the inner seed part of the vegetables.
STEP 8
Place sprigs of dill over the entire surface of the chicken fillet. Place 4-6 slices of tomatoes on top of one half of the chicken (depending on the size of the fillet and the tomatoes themselves).
STEP 9
Restore the chicken to its original appearance. To prevent the filling from falling out during baking, pinch the edges of the fillet with toothpicks.
STEP 10
Place chicken breasts in a greased baking dish. Grease the top with vegetable oil too. Sprinkle with salt, ground pepper and paprika. Place the pan with the chicken in an oven preheated to 180°C and bake for about 40-45 minutes. Time and temperature are approximate, be guided by the operating characteristics of your oven.
STEP 11
Remove the finished chicken breasts stuffed with tomatoes from the oven, remove all the toothpicks. Transfer them to a plate, cut into portions and serve. Bon appetit!
