    How to make a classic Stolichny salad? Prepare your food. Pre-boil potatoes, chicken, carrots and eggs and cool. Boil the vegetables in their skins; before cooking, wash them thoroughly with a brush. The cucumbers in this salad will be pickled, and the mayonnaise, according to the classics, will be Provencal, which you can prepare yourself. Place the peas in a colander to remove excess liquid.

    How to boil chicken fillet? Boil water in a saucepan. Place the washed fillet in boiling water. Add salt, reduce heat and cook the meat for about 30 minutes, removing any foam that forms with a spoon. Pierce the fillet with the tip of a knife. If it pierces freely, it’s ready. Remove the fillets from the pan and cool. Cut the boiled chicken fillet and pickled cucumbers into cubes. Wash the green onions, dry and finely chop.

    Place the peas in a large bowl to prepare the salad. Place the chopped chicken fillet, onions and cucumbers into a bowl with the peas.

    How to boil vegetables in their jackets? Place clean vegetables in a pan of cold water and cook over high heat. After boiling, turn the heat to low. Cook the vegetables for about 30 minutes at a low simmer. Check readiness with a sharp knife - it should pierce the tubers freely. Drain the water and cool the vegetables. Peel the boiled vegetables.

    How to hard boil eggs? To prevent eggs from cracking during cooking, place them in cold water and cook over low heat. Boil the eggs for 9 minutes after boiling, then cover with cold water and cool. The shell will be better cleaned from a sharp temperature change. Peel the eggs, then chop them into small cubes with a knife. You can use a special mesh vegetable cutter. Place the eggs in the bowl with the salad.

    Cut the boiled carrots into cubes. You can, like me, use the same mesh vegetable cutter. Place carrots in a bowl.

    Cut the boiled potatoes into cubes and add to the other ingredients.

    All that remains is to add mayonnaise and a pinch of salt to taste.

    Mix all the ingredients in a bowl well with a spoon, and the Stolichny salad is ready!

    To serve, you can form neatly shaped portions in the form of a slide. To do this, fill a small bowl with salad, compact it lightly and turn it over onto a plate. Then lift the bowl, and a formed mound of salad will remain on the plate. You can lay out the salad using a cooking ring. Or simply serve it in portions in bowls.

I only tried the Stolichny salad with beef, so I was surprised that it also comes with chicken. I made this delicious salad for my son's birthday. The composition of the salad is similar to Olivier, but instead of boiled sausage there is chicken. Instead of breast, I took a couple of legs, the meat from them is more tender) I boiled vegetables and eggs. My cucumbers are homemade, sweet and salty, they go well with other products. The salad is very easy to prepare, and there is some magic in cutting the ingredients. You sit, cut cubes and watch a movie, I always do this) The only thing I didn’t find for the salad was green onions. I peppered the finished salad a little more for added piquancy. The volume turned out to be quite large) The salad was served in portions and formed into a ring. Garnished with dill and a heart of boiled carrots. The salad was delicious and was the first to leave the table. I liked adding chicken, it makes the salad more pleasant and tender.

I prepared a classic capital salad with chicken. I boiled potatoes, carrots, and eggs in advance. For the salad I used chicken breast baked in the oven. The salad turned out bright and very tasty! Reminiscent of traditional Olivier salad, but replacing sausage with chicken makes the capital’s salad healthier. Thanks to the author for the recipe!
