STEP 1

How to stew potatoes and meat in sour cream? Prepare your food. Any meat is suitable for this recipe - pork, beef, lamb, poultry. The dish will taste tastier with fattier varieties, but it will also be higher in calories, keep this in mind. Take natural and high-quality sour cream, 25% fat. Wash and dry the vegetables.

Wash the meat and be sure to dry it with a paper towel, otherwise excess moisture will prevent it from frying. Cut the meat into medium-sized pieces. I'll cook pork belly.

Heat a little oil in a frying pan or thick-walled saucepan; a cauldron works well for stewing.

Place the prepared meat in the pan and lightly fry it, stirring occasionally, until golden brown.

Peel and dice the onion.

Peel and cut the potatoes into large slices.

Add potatoes to the pan, cover with a lid and simmer everything at a low simmer for 40 minutes. Determine the readiness of the dish by the potatoes. It should break easily when pressed with a spoon. Increase cooking time if necessary.
