Spicy tomato and plum sauce with garlic
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
Prepare all the ingredients needed to prepare the sauce. Wash the tomatoes, wash the plums and remove the pits.
STEP 2
Pass the tomatoes and plums through a meat grinder. Place the rolled tomatoes and plums in a saucepan with thick walls, put on fire, add salt and sugar and boil after boiling for 20 minutes. Let's prepare the other ingredients: grate the garlic on a fine grater or put it through a press, remove the seeds and veins from the hot pepper and cut it into small strips.
STEP 3
Add garlic, hot pepper, Italian herbs, cloves and allspice to the boiled plums and tomatoes and cook everything together for another 10 minutes. Remove the sauce from the stove, cover with a lid and let it brew for 2 hours, so that all the spices give their aroma to the sauce. For a silkier and more uniform consistency, rub the cooled sauce through a sieve. Place the grated sauce on the stove and boil for 1 hour, add vinegar 3 minutes before the end.
STEP 4
Pour the finished sauce hot into clean, sterilized jars and immediately seal them. Turn the jars upside down and wrap them until they cool completely. From the specified amount of ingredients you get 3 liters of tasty, healthy and natural sauce, without various artificial colors and other additives that the body does not need. The resulting sauce is perfectly stored in the pantry at home.
STEP 5
Tomato and plum sauce is ready for the winter! Bon appetit!
