Sour cream flatbreads in a frying pan without yeast

STEP 1

How to make flatbreads with sour cream? Prepare all ingredients according to the list. Sift the flour through a fine sieve. Butter can be of any temperature - we will melt it anyway.
STEP 2

In a wide, deep bowl, beat a raw egg with a fork or whisk.
STEP 3

Add sour cream and beat again.
STEP 4

Melt the butter in a water bath or in the microwave. Pour the melted butter into the egg-sour cream mixture, stirring quickly.
STEP 5

Add sugar and mix well again.
STEP 6

Add soda to the sifted flour.
STEP 7

Add a little salt (a pinch) to the flour.
STEP 8

Stir the flour into the egg-milk mixture to form a dough. Focus on the thickness of the dough; for this, do not add all the flour at once, only a spoon or two.
STEP 9

The dough should be moderately stiff, not sticky, and hold its shape. Too steep will not work, because the cakes from it will turn out to be harsh. Therefore, watch the amount of flour!

Leave the dough to rest for about 15 minutes. During this time, the gluten will swell and the dough will be easy to work with.

Cover the dough with a towel or bag to prevent it from airing.

Divide the dough into 7 or more pieces.
STEP 13

Roll each part into a circle the diameter of your frying pan. Prick with a fork.
STEP 14

Carefully transfer the dough to a preheated dry frying pan using a rolling pin. If you did everything correctly, the uncooked tortillas will be very tender. So don't tear them.
STEP 15

Fry the tortillas in a dry, heated frying pan with a lid.
STEP 16

Turn over to the other side and fry without a lid until done. Be careful not to burn, the tortillas should fry quite quickly, so don’t leave the stove.
STEP 17

Grease each flatbread with butter and place them on top of each other in a stack.
STEP 18
