Sliced cucumbers in jars without sterilization
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to make sliced cucumbers for the winter in jars without sterilization? Prepare the products indicated on the list. The good thing about the recipe is that you can use second-grade cucumbers, i.e. overgrown (only with small seeds) or uneven in shape. Use hot pepper as desired. You will learn the subtleties of winter preparations by reading the article on this topic. The link is at the end of the recipe.
STEP 2
Pre-soak the cucumbers in cold water so that they are saturated with moisture.
STEP 3
Then wash them and cut off the tails on both sides. Peel the garlic. Rinse the garlic cloves, dill umbrellas and pepper pods under running water.
STEP 4
Wash the jars thoroughly and sterilize. You will learn about sterilization methods in the article at the end of the recipe. Pour boiling water over the lids and leave for 5-10 minutes. Cut the pepper pod into small pieces. At the bottom of each jar, place an umbrella of dill, hot pepper, several cloves of garlic and black or allspice peas.
STEP 5
Cut the cucumbers into slices about 1-1.5 cm thick. Place them in jars to the top. Shake the jars until the cucumbers fit tightly.
STEP 6
Fill the jars with boiling water up to the neck.
STEP 7
Cover with sterile lids and leave for 10-15 minutes. Carefully drain the water from the cucumbers into the pan and bring the liquid back to a boil. Fill the jars a second time and leave again for 10 minutes.
STEP 8
Drain the water back into the pan. Add salt and sugar. Add mustard seeds and coriander if desired. Bring everything to a boil over high heat, simmer for 2-3 minutes. Taste the marinade and add a little more sugar and salt if necessary. Pour in the vinegar and keep on the stove for another minute.
STEP 9
Pour the prepared boiling marinade over the cucumbers.
STEP 10
Close the lids using a special key and check for leaks.
STEP 11
Wrap the workpiece, turned upside down, with a warm blanket and leave until it cools completely.
STEP 12
Store cucumbers in the pantry, cellar or on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator until winter and beyond.
