STEP 1

How to make shish kebab from turkey thigh fillet? Very simple! Prepare all the necessary products according to the list. If you have frozen meat, you should remove it from the freezer in advance and leave it at room temperature until completely thawed. Read about all the intricacies of proper defrosting in a separate article, link at the end of the recipe. However, for kebabs it is better to use fresh, not frozen meat.
STEP 2

Remove the skin from the turkey thigh. Rinse the meat under running water and dry with paper towels. Cut the turkey into medium-sized portions. Place in a deep bowl. The bone can later be used to make broth.
STEP 3

Peel the onion, rinse and cut into rings or half rings. Send to the meat. Salt and pepper everything to taste. Add your favorite spices. I used ground paprika. A ready-made barbecue mixture is perfect.
STEP 4

Squeeze the juice of fresh lemon. Use 1 large lemon or 2 medium sized ones.
STEP 5

Mix everything thoroughly, cover with a lid or cling film and place in the refrigerator for a while. I usually marinate overnight.
STEP 6

Thread the marinated pieces onto skewers.
STEP 7

Light up the grill. When the coals are covered with white ash, place the skewers on the grill.
STEP 8

Fry the kebabs, turning them occasionally, until fully cooked. To check if the meat is ready, make a cut on one of the pieces. If you see clear juice, then the kebab is ready!

Serve hot with fresh vegetables, salads and all kinds of sauces!
