Sandwiches with liver pate for the holiday table
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to make sandwiches with liver pate and cucumber for the holiday table? Prepare the necessary ingredients. Peel the onions and carrots, wash and cut into large pieces. I have a small onion, so I took 4 pieces, if the onion is medium, then take two. Remove the butter for pate and directly for sandwiches from the refrigerator in advance so that it comes to room temperature.
STEP 2
Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan and fry the onions and carrots for about 15 minutes over moderate heat on all sides. The pan can be covered with a lid. The vegetables should become soft. Read about how to choose the ideal frying pan, as well as how to choose the right vegetable oil in separate articles, links at the end of the recipe.
STEP 3
Clean the pork liver from films and fat, if any, rinse and place in a colander to drain excess water. Cut the prepared liver into large pieces.
STEP 4
Place half the liver and half the vegetables into a blender bowl. Grind everything at low speed for 30 seconds. Do the same with the remaining liver and vegetables. I crushed it twice simply because everything wouldn’t fit in one go or it wouldn’t grind well.
STEP 5
Place the resulting minced meat in a frying pan with vegetable oil (about 2 tablespoons), add salt and pepper to taste and fry for about 5-7 minutes over medium heat while stirring. Let the fried minced meat cool.
STEP 6
Place the cooled minced meat in a blender bowl, add butter and grind everything for about 30 seconds. I again crushed everything in two steps.
STEP 7
The result is a pate like this, ready to use.
STEP 8
Cut the loaf into slices and cut out the middle, forming oval or round pieces.
STEP 9
Wash the dill, dry and finely chop. Brush the top and sides of the slice with melted butter. Roll the side of the slice in finely chopped dill.
STEP 10
Prepare the rest of the sandwich ingredients in the same way.
STEP 11
Fill a culinary syringe with a shaped nozzle with pate and decorate slices of bread with it. You can simply spread the pate on the bread with a spoon.
STEP 12
For decoration, I used thinly sliced pickled cucumber, as well as sliced and lightly fried carrots. You can improvise the decor at your own discretion. Such sandwiches with liver pate will look beautiful and taste well with fresh cucumber, boiled quail egg, olives, etc. Bon appetit!
